Home for Rent - Villa Alexis, in the Old Village
Very good friends of ours, Rosie and Pete Wilson of the U.K., have a home available for rent that is located in the Old Village of Alonnisos. Called Villa Alexis, it is a charming, traditional white-washed stone villa that includes a bougainvillea-covered courtyard, and a roof terrace that offers stunning views across the Aegean Sea towards the island of Skopelos (see photo to your right). Villa Alexis is modernized throughout, and situated in a peaceful, traffic-free location, just five minutes by foot from the village plateia, tavernas, shop
s, and bus top. The nearest beach with services is Megalos Mourtias (see photo to your left), which is approximately 25 minutes away by foot (me ta pothia in Greek), and five – 10 minutes by car or motorbike.The villa features a small living room with stone stairs leading up to the bedroom (see photo to your right). Other am
enities include a table and chairs, books and games, a hair dryer, and ironing board and iron. The small kitchen offers a refrigerator, electric kettle, a toaster, coffee maker and gas hob. The bedroom includes twin beds, and a door that leads directly out to the roof terrace that includes a table, chairs, and a small barbeque. A room fan is also provided and an extra mattress (suitable for a small child) is likewise available. The bathroom features a shower room/water closet that was recently refurbished. Cost of accommodations is: £325 per week in May, June, September, and October; £375 per week during the high season in July and August.
